This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1986 for the cult splatter/pink film Entrails of a Virgin (処女のはらわた), directed by Kazuo “Gaira” Komizu. A notorious piece of 1980s exploitation cinema, it became a late-Showa cult favorite and later a staple of midnight screenings on video and festival circuits.
Design
A shock-pulp masterwork in painted style: a bound heroine hangs inverted as a gleaming fishhook dangles from a heavy chain, while a scarlet, leering face looms from the shadows. The massive blood-red title lettering slices vertically down the right side, with hype copy cascading along the left. At the base, a moonlit house and headlights add slasher-thriller atmosphere—pure ‘80s Japanese cult aesthetics.
