This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1971 for the first Japanese release of Escape from the Planet of the Apes. A genuine cinema display sheet produced for theatres in Japan.

Film background
The third installment in the original saga sends Cornelius and Zira (Roddy McDowall, Kim Hunter) hurtling back to 20th-century Los Angeles, where celebrity, suspicion, and politics collide. Directed by Don Taylor and co-starring Bradford Dillman, Natalie Trundy, and Sal Mineo, the film pivots the series into clever time-travel social satire.

Poster design
A blazing red-cosmos backdrop frames Earth and a streaking spacecraft, while helmeted apes loom large in the foreground. Marching police silhouettes, astronauts on a beached capsule, and the bilingual mark ESCAPE FROM THE PLANET OF THE APES punctuate the collage. The massive scarlet Japanese title 「新・猿の惑星」 (“New Planet of the Apes”) anchors the composition—bold, kinetic, and classic early-’70s Fox campaign art.
