This is an original Japanese B2 promotional poster printed in 2012 for a UCC Coffee collaboration campaign linked to Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo (ヱヴァンゲリヲン新劇場版：Q), produced by Studio Khara and released in Japan by Toei Company as part of the Rebuild of Evangelion film series. 

Film background

As with the Shinji & Kaworu poster above, this collaboration draws on the popularity of the franchise’s core cast—this time spotlighting the three key female pilots: Asuka Langley Shikinami, Rei Ayanami and Mari Illustrious Makinami. Their character arcs in 3.0 reflect the new post‑Impact status quo: Asuka and Mari now serve with WILLE, piloting Evangelions to prevent further disasters, while Rei’s identity and loyalties are cast into doubt amid NERV’s schemes. The film continues Evangelion’s exploration of trauma, responsibility and human connection, framed by spectacular mecha battles and dense symbolism.

Poster design

Mirroring the companion design, this poster places Asuka, Rei and Mari against a bright, cloud‑filled sky. Dressed in casual tank tops and cargo‑style trousers rather than plug suits, they each hold up a can of UCC Coffee, emphasising the everyday side of these otherwise world‑saving characters. Asuka, in a vivid orange top, grins confidently on the right; Rei, in a dark vest, gazes sidelong from the centre; and Mari, in a mauve top and glasses, smiles at the viewer on the left. The red UCC logo and slogan appear at the top left, with the Evangelion: 3.0 logo at top right, tying the collaboration clearly to the film.
