This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 2003 to promote King Records’ first limited‑edition NEON GENESIS EVANGELION DVD‑BOX (catalog KIBA‑91001〜10) on its initial 25 June 2003 release under the Starchild imprint. The sheet carries the “NOT FOR SALE” notice confirming it as an in‑store promotional issue. 

Film background
Hideaki Anno’s landmark television series follows Shinji Ikari, Rei Ayanami, and Asuka Langley as they pilot Evangelions to defend Tokyo‑3 while the story explores identity, connection, and choice—work that reshaped late‑1990s anime and pop culture.

Poster design
A dramatic character sheet illustrated by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (credit printed lower right).
