“Fighting Vipers 2” (ファイティングバイパーズ2), Original Japanese Arcade Poster 1998, Ultra Rare, B1 Size (c.71 × 103 cm)

Sale price $500.00

This is an original Japanese B1 poster printed in 1998 by SEGA AM2 (AM R&D Dept. #2) for the arcade launch of Fighting Vipers 2, the over‑the‑top armor‑brawler from the studio behind Virtua Fighter. Distributed to operators for in‑store display, these large‑format sheets were never sold to the public and had low survival rates—highly coveted today by collectors of arcade history, SEGA ephemera, and ’90s Japanese graphic design.

Why this example is extraordinary (rarity & market)

  • Genuine operator‑issue B1—far scarcer than later consumer or magazine promos.

  • Cross‑collectible appeal spanning SEGA AM2 / Yu Suzuki era, arcade culture, and manga‑inflected illustration.

  • Vibrant, wall‑dominating artwork that few gaming posters can match in scale or intensity.

  • Period identifiers present: SEGA logotype at top, AM2 crest (UL), © SEGA 1995, 1998 along the base—confirming a first‑release arcade sheet.

Poster design
A hex‑grid field is slashed with black‑on‑yellow CAUTION/VIPERS tape, behind a full roster charge of the series’ armor‑clad fighters rendered in thick, high‑contrast inks. Giant profile figures anchor left and right, funneling the eye to the FV2 / Fighting Vipers 2 emblem—pure late‑’90s arcade energy, kinetic and collectible.
