“Friday the 13th” (13日の金曜日), Original Japanese Movie Poster 1980 First Release, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) F229
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1980 for the first domestic theatrical release of Friday the 13th (USA, 1980), the slasher landmark produced/directed by Sean S. Cunningham and introducing the legend of Camp Crystal Lake.
Film background
Counsellors reopening a shuttered summer camp are stalked and murdered one by one as a dark past resurfaces. The film’s shock finale and Tom Savini’s practical gore effects ignited the ’80s slasher boom and launched a long-running franchise.
Poster design
Atmospheric lakeside fog frames a woodland cabin, while the central panel delivers a brutal close-up of a blood-slick axe buried in bedding; below, a group of carefree teens gather around a Jeep—ironic calm before the carnage. The massive red logotype 「13日の金曜日」 dominates the field, with English titling FRIDAY the 13th in the corner—classic hallmarks of an authentic first-release Japanese country sheet with chilling wall presence.
