“Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives” (13日の金曜日 PART 6 ジェイソンは生きていた!), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1986, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O522

Sale price $110.00

This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1986 for the first Japanese theatrical release of Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (13日の金曜日 PART 6 ジェイソンは生きていた!), directed by Tom McLoughlin and distributed in Japan by Paramount / UIP.

The film is the sixth entry in the series and the one that definitively transforms Jason into an undead, unstoppable “zombie” slasher.

Film background
Haunted survivor Tommy Jarvis returns to Crystal Lake (now renamed Forest Green) to cremate Jason’s corpse and end his nightmares once and for all. Instead, a lightning strike reanimates Jason, who climbs from the grave to resume his killing spree. Mixing macabre humour with gothic atmosphere, Jason Lives is often praised for revitalising the franchise, introducing the immortal, super‑strong version of Jason that dominates later films.

Poster design
The Japanese B2 vividly captures Jason’s resurrection. A storm‑wracked cemetery fills the sheet, with a jagged lightning bolt spearing down from the sky into Jason’s grave, where his iconic hockey mask lies in a shattered coffin. Energy and sparks explode outward, illuminating the churning water and skeletal remains around him. At the top, yellow copy describes the thunder‑filled, terrifying night on which “the demon rises again,” while at the bottom the large red and pink title 「13日の金曜日 PART 6 ジェイソンは生きていた!」 sits over a textured blue field, accompanied by the English logo FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VI: JASON LIVES and credit block.
