This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1989 for Ivan Reitman’s blockbuster sequel Ghostbusters II, starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, and Rick Moranis. Picking up five years after the original, the team reunites to battle Vigo the Carpathian, rivers of “mood slime,” and a very lively Statue of Liberty—pure late-’80s supernatural fun.
Design
An instantly iconic franchise image: the No-Ghost logo flashes a victory “2” over a radiant purple burst while the four Ghostbusters advance in full gear, proton blasters at the ready. The bold katakana logotype 「ゴーストバスターズ2」 glows across the base with the red ghost emblem substituting the “O,” while cast credits run above—clean, high-impact studio artwork that defined the film’s Japanese campaign.
