“Girl Boss: Crazy Ball Game” (女番長 玉突き遊び), Original Japanese STB Tatekan Movie Poster 1974 First Release O196
This is an original Japanese STB (two-sheet vertical “tatekan”) poster printed in 1974 for the first domestic theatrical release of Girl Boss: Crazy Ball Game—a hard-charging entry in Toei’s sukeban (delinquent girl-boss) cycle, directed by Ikuo Sekimoto (関本郁夫). First-issue Toei exploitation STB posters from the 1970s are highly collectible.
Film background
A “new sukeban trio” carves a turf line through Tokyo’s underground—taking on pimps, crooked toughs, and predatory men with knives, razors, and biker bravado. Beach brawls, back-alley ambushes, and swaggering attitude deliver the series’ hallmark mix of ninkyō grit and pop sleaze.
Poster design
A towering, high-impact two-panel sheet: at top, a defiant heroine in a torn green top brandishes a knife; below, a diagonal montage of fights, blades, and denim-clad street queens crashes toward a full-length kick pose. The massive brush logotype 「女番長」 slashes down the right with the blue vertical subtitle 「玉突き遊び」 and pink cartouche 「スケバン」. Toei billing and the Eirin mark along the footer are classic hallmarks of an authentic 1974 theatrical STB with fierce wall presence.
