“Godzilla vs. Destoroyah” (ゴジラVSデストロイア), Original Japanese First-Release Movie Poster 1995, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) P101

Sale price $300.00

This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1995 for the first release of Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (ゴジラVSデストロイア), the explosive climax of Toho’s Heisei-era Godzilla cycle and one of the most important kaijū films of the 1990s. A major collector title, it’s famed for its apocalyptic tone, “Burning Godzilla” imagery, and the introduction of Destoroyah—one of the franchise’s most fearsome and iconic adversaries.

Artwork by the legendary Noriyoshi Ohrai—one of Japan’s most celebrated fantasy illustrators, internationally known for his dramatic, hyper-detailed poster art, including his famous Japanese Star Wars poster illustrations. Ohrai’s Godzilla work is among the most sought-after of all modern kaijū poster art.

Design
A spectacular Ohrai composition at full power: Burning Godzilla erupts in molten reds and electric white energy, towering above a devastated city while fighter jets and helicopters streak through smoke and fire. In the foreground, Destoroyah rises like a demonic, armoured nightmare—wings spread, claws extended—creating a true end-of-the-world showdown tableau. The bold vertical title 「ゴジラVSデストロイア」 and massive yellow logotype anchor the sheet with immense wall presence—one of the most iconic Heisei Godzilla B2 designs.
