"Harem Holiday" (ハレム万才), Original Japanese First-Release Movie Poster 1965, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O344
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1965 for MGM’s Elvis Presley musical Harum Scarum — released in Japan under the English export title Harem Holiday (Japanese title: ハレム万才). Co-starring Mary Ann Mobley and Fran Jeffries and directed by Gene Nelson, the film follows Elvis as a movie idol swept into a playful Middle-Eastern caper filled with songs, palace intrigue, and hijinks.
Design
A vibrant teal field frames a towering, full-figure Elvis in performance stance, flanked by stylized onion-domes and music notes. Along the bottom, a harem tableau shows Elvis reclining among dancers, while the bold sunshine-yellow logotype 「ハレム万才」 cuts across the center. The English cartouche “Harem Holiday”, Metrocolor/MetroScope credits, and the classic M-G-M emblem complete this lively 1960s pop design.
Condition
Very Good overall: original machine folds as issued, light handling, a few small edge nicks and minor spots/toning consistent with age. Colors are strong and the sheet presents beautifully. Please review photos; they show the exact poster for sale.
