“Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade” (人狼 JIN-ROH), Original Japanese International Festival / Sales Poster 1999, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O82

Sale price $125.00

This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1999 by Bandai Visual / Production I.G for international festival promotion and world sales of Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade. Used at markets and screenings (not sold to the public), it highlights the film’s pedigree “from the creators of Ghost in the Shell.”

Film background
Written by Mamoru Oshii and directed by Hiroyuki Okiura, Jin-Roh unfolds in an alternate-history postwar Tokyo where heavily armored “Kerberos” troopers police civil unrest. A tragic encounter binds officer Kazuki Fuse to a mysterious young woman, drawing him into political intrigue and the fable of the wolf and Little Red Riding Hood. The film premiered to international acclaim—selected for the 49th Berlin International Film Festival (Panorama, 1999), the 19th Oporto International Film Festival (Competition), and the 17th Brussels International Festival of Fantasy, Thriller & Science-Fiction Films.

Poster design
Stoic Kerberos troopers with glowing red eyes mass behind Fuse and a cloaked heroine, under the taglines “They were wolves disguised as men…” and “A new film from the creators of GHOST IN THE SHELL.” The slashed red brush title JIN-ROH dominates the lower field, with festival laurels and BANDAI VISUAL World Sales credits across the base. ©1998 Bandai Visual / Production I.G appears at foot.
