This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1962 for the first Japanese release of Judgment at Nuremberg (ニュールンベルク裁判), Stanley Kramer’s monumental courtroom drama examining the legacy of the Nazi era through the post-war trials. Featuring an extraordinary cast including Spencer Tracy, Burt Lancaster, Richard Widmark, Maximilian Schell, Judy Garland, Marlene Dietrich, and Montgomery Clift, it remains one of the most powerful “issue films” ever produced—and a cornerstone of serious 20th-century cinema.

Film background
Released in 1961 internationally and issued in Japan in 1962, the film dramatises the Nuremberg Judges’ Trial—asking how guilt, responsibility, and complicity function inside systems of state power. Tracy plays the American judge presiding over the case; Lancaster is the defendant; Schell the defence attorney; Widmark the prosecutor.
