This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1965 for the first Japanese release of Disney’s beloved musical fantasy Mary Poppins. The film first opened in Japan on 10 December 1965.

This is an very rare variant for the film and it is the first time we have had this beautiful design in our gallery.

Starring Julie Andrews (in her iconic, career-defining role) alongside Dick Van Dyke and David Tomlinson, Mary Poppins remains one of Disney’s greatest live-action productions—an extraordinary blend of song, practical magic, and timeless family storytelling. The Japanese copy on this poster proudly highlights the film’s major awards success, including its Academy Award wins (with Andrews’ Best Actress win central to the film’s legacy).
