“Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter” (レッツ・ゴー!ハーマンズ・ハーミッツ), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1968, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O6

Sale price $125.00

This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1968 for the first theatrical release of Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter (レッツ・ゴー!ハーマンズ・ハーミッツ), the British pop musical comedy directed by Saul Swimmer and starring Herman’s Hermits—Peter Noone, Karl Green, Derek Leckenby, Keith Hopwood, and Barry Whitwam.

Produced at the height of the 1960s British Invasion, the film follows Herman’s Hermits in a lighthearted story about raising money by racing a greyhound named Mrs. Brown, while featuring performances of their hit songs. The film captured the youthful energy and music-driven optimism of the late 1960s.

Poster design
The vibrant Japanese B2 design explodes with pop-art style: a large portrait of Peter Noone dominates the top, while a montage of performance stills, London landmarks, and swinging-’60s imagery surrounds him. At the bottom, the full band is shown kicking in unison alongside a bright, dancing figure, emphasizing the carefree joy of the period. The bold Japanese title 「レッツ・ゴー!」 runs vertically in red, paired with the English title across Noone’s tie. The colorful composition mirrors the music and youthful exuberance of the film.
