This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1976 for Robert Altman’s Nashville (ナッシュビル), the landmark ensemble satire set in the country‑music world. 

The film is famous for its massive cast (including Lily Tomlin, Karen Black, Ronee Blakley, Keith Carradine and many more) and its razor‑sharp portrait of entertainment, politics and American identity; it has only grown in stature over the decades and was later selected for preservation in the U.S. National Film Registry. Japan’s release date is recorded as April 3, 1976, aligning perfectly with this B2’s era‑correct campaign feel. 

Poster design
An instantly recognisable, brilliantly simple concept: the enormous NASHVILLE title filled with the American flag, set against a black field with the ensemble lineup across the top—clean, graphic, and extremely frame‑friendly. The oversized Japanese title treatment at the bottom gives it that distinctive mid‑’70s B2 balance of Western iconography and Japanese typography.
