This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed for the Japanese release of No Small Affair, issued in Japan under the title 「恋人ゲーム」 / Koibito Game. Film background Originally released in the United States in 1984, No Small Affair follows Charles, a 16-year-old amateur photographer who accidentally photographs Laura, an older aspiring rock singer. Captivated by her image, he becomes determined to promote her music career and win her affection.
The film occupies an interesting place in 1980s pop-culture history. Jon Cryer’s role here predates his celebrated appearance as Duckie in Pretty in Pink, while Demi Moore appears just before her Brat Pack-era stardom in St. Elmo’s Fire.
