"On Her Majesty’s Secret Service", Original Japanese First-Release Movie Poster 1969, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O325
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1969 for Peter Hunt’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, starring George Lazenby with Diana Rigg and Telly Savalas. Frequently cited by Bond aficionados as one of the series’ finest entries—romantic, perilous, and shot with exhilarating verve in the Swiss Alps—the film introduced Lazenby’s sole turn as 007 and gave the franchise some of its most iconic action, from Schilthorn ski chases to bobsled battles.
Design
A spectacular painted montage in the grand Bond tradition (McCarthy/McGinnis school): tux-clad Bond and a purple-clad heroine carve down a thundering mountainside as Savalas’s Blofeld fires from a chequered bobsled; red-parka commandos, exploding cable cars, and roaring helicopters cascade through the snowstorm. The huge scarlet kanji/hiragana title 「女王陛下の007」 sits above the “007” numerals, with the United Artists credit, cast list, and 映倫 seal confirming first-issue provenance.
Condition
Very good overall with honest theatrical use—this sheet was displayed at the time in a cinema. Light edge wear, minor spots, and handling traces present as shown; colors remain bold and the poster displays strongly. Please review the front and back photos—they show the exact item for sale.
