“Peter Pan” (ピーター・パン), Original Re-Release Japanese Movie Poster 1975, B2 Size (51 x 73cm) G167
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1975 for the nationwide re-release of Walt Disney’s Peter Pan. Japanese Disney re-release materials are highly collectible—particularly country sheets issued for the 日本語版 (Japanese-dubbed version).
Film background
First released in 1953, Peter Pan adapts J. M. Barrie’s classic tale of Never Land, Captain Hook, and the boy who wouldn’t grow up. A Technicolor milestone from Walt Disney Productions, the film’s memorable songs and timeless characters cemented its status as a cornerstone of mid-century animation and a perennial favorite on screens worldwide.
Poster design
The ’75 B2 centers a full-length, confident Peter Pan with Tinker Bell at his shoulder, surrounded by vignettes of Wendy, the Lost Boys, mermaids, the crocodile, and Hook’s pirates. The English logo “Walt Disney’s PETER PAN” and TECHNICOLOR credit sit at right; the large magenta Japanese title 「ピーター・パン」 anchors the base. A round character seal appears near the logo, and the blue 東宝 (Toho) distributor mark is printed at lower right—classic, bright Disney composition tailored for the Japanese market.
