“Return of Ultraman” (帰ってきたウルトラマン), Original Release Japanese Movie Poster 1971, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) E143
This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1971 for the first cinema release of Return of Ultraman. Produced by Tsuburaya Productions and distributed by Toho as part of the Toho Champion Festival, the film brought the television series’ two-part confrontation with Gudon and Twin Tail to the big screen.
The striking composition features a commanding portrait of Ultraman Jack above a dramatic battle scene, with the two monsters towering over a devastated city. Bold red Japanese title lettering, vivid blue skies and a distinctive musical-note border give the design an unmistakable early-1970s character.
The Japanese tagline across the top reads “Tokyo is in desperate peril! Stand up, our Ultraman!”, capturing the excitement and urgency of the film’s monster battles.
