This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1982 for the Japanese release of Senso (夏の嵐), the classic Italian drama directed by Luchino Visconti and starring Alida Valli and Farley Granger.
Design
A romantic, classical presentation with an ornate, museum‑frame sensibility. The central image is a soft‑focus monochrome embrace—two lovers locked in a private, tense moment—set within a decorative border that gives the poster a period‑piece elegance. A vertical column of Japanese copy runs down the left of the image like a caption in an exhibition.
