“Seven Chances” (キートンのセブン・チャンス), Original Japanese Movie Poster 1975 Re-Release, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O166

Sale price $125.00

This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1975 for the domestic re-release of Seven Chances (1925), Buster Keaton’s classic silent feature. Japanese revival posters for Keaton from the 1970s are highly collectible.

Film background
Facing bankruptcy, broker Jimmie Shannon (Keaton) will inherit a fortune only if he marries by 7 p.m. the same day. A string of failed proposals culminates in one of Keaton’s greatest set-pieces: a mountainside chase with tumbling boulders and a mob of brides—an enduring showcase of his stunt craft and escalating gag construction.

Poster design
A dynamic collage country sheet: Keaton flees down a green hillside as boulders cascade across the upper field; below, a large tinted portrait of Keaton is surrounded by flapper-era brides and crowd imagery. English titling “Buster Keaton in Seven Chances” sits at right beside a vintage camera motif, while the bold magenta Japanese logotype 「キートンのセブン・チャンス」 spans the base with credits. The Eirin mark and distributor details along the footer are classic hallmarks of an authentic 1975 re-release sheet with lively wall presence.

This poster is in excellent condition (please refer to the imagery of the exact poster for sale).
