"Sex Document: Eros no Joō (エロスの女王)", Original Japanese First-Release Movie Poster 1969, Massive B0 Two-Sheet (c. 102.5 × 146.5 cm, made from two B1s)
This is an original Japanese B0 two-sheet poster printed in 1969 for Sadao Nakajima’s sensational pseudo-documentary Sex Document: Eros no Joō from Toei. Cut to the pulse of late-1960s counter-culture, the film mixes staged reportage and nightclub realities to survey Japan’s underground sex business, with a pop-psych score by Ichirō Araki and vivid location photography by Susumu Akatsuka.
Film background
Part exploitation exposé, part new-cinema collage, Nakajima’s film sits at the crossroads of pink-eiga and youth documentary, capturing the era’s shock aesthetics, student-movement afterglow, and media voyeurism. It remains a sought-after title for Toei and pink-cinema collectors.
Poster design
An arresting, Pop-art photomontage stretched across the spectacular B0 canvas: a huge circular crop of a nude torso bisects the sheet, while acid orange, magenta, and chartreuse panels shard across the field with bondage and cabaret vignettes. At lower right, a giant telephoto lens (metaphor for surveillance/desire) points toward a rear-view nude; a procession of monochrome figures lounges along the base. The slashing vermilion title 「エロスの女王」 anchors the footer with the Toei triangle logo at upper right and 映倫 72458 seal confirming domestic theatrical release.
Condition
Very good vintage condition with expected foldlines from original studio mailing (the two B1 sheets join to form the B0), presents strongly at this impressive size. Please review the photos; they show the exact poster for sale.
