This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed for the release of Sleepers, Barry Levinson’s 1996 legal crime drama based on Lorenzo Carcaterra’s controversial best‑seller. The ensemble cast includes Kevin Bacon, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Jason Patric and Brad Pitt, spanning the story’s jump from 1960s Hell’s Kitchen to the 1980s courtroom reckoning. 

Film background
The film follows four altar‑boy friends whose prank on a hot‑dog vendor goes horribly wrong, landing them in the Wilkinson Home for Boys. There they suffer brutal physical and sexual abuse at the hands of sadistic guards, especially Sean Nokes (Bacon). Years later, when two of the men encounter Nokes again and kill him, their remaining friends—now a journalist and an assistant district attorney—quietly manipulate the justice system to expose their former tormentors and take revenge. 

Poster design
The Japanese B2 mirrors the film’s split between youth and adulthood. Against a hazy Manhattan skyline, two boys in white undershorts sprint and leap along an elevated track, the “New Yorker” sign and Empire State Building looming behind them, suggesting both innocence and danger in the city. Below the horizon line, a black field carries the Japanese tagline and a row of intense, warmly lit portraits of the adult leads—heads turned in different directions as if weighing the past. The title “スリーパーズ” is rendered in bold white brush‑style characters with the English “SLEEPERS” beneath, flanked by the star credits in gold.
