"Smic, Smac, Smoc" (恋人たちのメロディー), Original Japanese First-Release Movie Poster 1971, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) ZA91

Sale price $100.00

This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1971 for Claude Lelouch’s romantic film Smic, Smac, Smoc—a sun-washed Saint-Tropez tale made with his longtime collaborator, composer (and here on-screen presence) Francis Lai, co-starring Catherine Allégret and Amidou.

Design
A gorgeous hand-painted composition: at left, a cool, sunglassed Francis Lai plays the accordion, the deep red bellows cutting a bold vertical across the sheet. To the right, a couple embraces on the marina with sail masts, quayside buildings, and a speeding car receding into the distance—pure Côte d’Azur atmosphere. Yellow Japanese copy floats in the sky like sunlight, with the French scrawl “smic smac smoc” repeating along the lower band above the elegant Japanese title 「恋人たちのメロディー」 and credit line “un film de Claude Lelouch.”

Condition
