This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1985 for Walt Disney’s nationwide re-issue of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Japanese title: 白雪姫) — a refreshed release timed to introduce the 1937 classic to a new generation of cinema-goers.

Walt Disney’s first full-length animated feature revolutionised the art form, winning a special Academy Award® (one full-size Oscar and seven miniatures) and becoming the highest-grossing sound film of its era. The 1985 Japanese campaign presented vibrant newly struck Technicolor prints and updated marketing materials; this B2 sheet bursts with colour as Snow White greets the Seven Dwarfs amid a forest menagerie, while the Wicked Queen-turned-hag lurks near a rainbow-washed castle.
