This is an original Japanese B2 shop poster from July 19, 2002, promoting the first video & DVD release of Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away—the highest-grossing film in Japanese history at the time and winner of the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Issued for retailers (販促), these domestic home-entertainment posters were printed in far smaller quantities than theatrical one-sheets.

Design
Two planes of wonder: a giant close-up of Chihiro’s face underwater with air bubbles shimmering across, and—beneath the horizon—a tiny figure running over a mirror-like sea to the bathhouse realm. The contrast in scale captures Miyazaki’s blend of intimate emotion and mythic breadth. Bold red title brushwork 「千と千尋の神隠し」 floats above a clean white merchandising band touting the new “Video & DVD” street date with pack-shot thumbnails.
