"Star Wars (R2-D2 & C-3PO)", Original Japanese Promotion Poster 1977, B2 Size (51 x 73 cm) N126

Sale price $200.00

This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1977 to promote the release of Star Wars in Japan via King Records (see credits with catalogue refs FML-95 / FML-96 / FMW-37-38 and the 20th Century-Fox logo at lower left).

The image captures the iconic duo R2-D2 and C-3PO in the Tantive IV corridor—an instantly recognisable still from the opening sequence of George Lucas’s space opera. These promotion pieces were produced for record and cinema retail display in small numbers and were never reissued, making them scarce survivors from the film’s first Japanese campaign.

It is over 48 years old!

This poster is in excellent condition. Please refer to the imagery provided (both front and back) as this is the exact poster that is for sale.

It is not a reproduction or a reprint.

Certificate of Authenticity included.
