"Stephen King’s Graveyard Shift" (地下室の悪夢), Original Japanese B2 Movie Poster 1990, B2 Size (51 × 73cm) ZA672
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1990 for the release of Graveyard Shift, the film adaptation of Stephen King’s short story, directed by Ralph S. Singleton and starring David Andrews and Brad Dourif.
Design
The poster leans into claustrophobic, blue‑toned horror. The right side shows the exterior of the grim New England textile mill under a stormy night sky, lightning forking behind its jagged roofline. The left and lower sections plunge us into the mill’s damp underbelly: heaps of bones, debris and rats rendered in murky, textured blues and blacks. Near the top left, a terrified worker’s face is lit by an unseen light source, staring off‑frame as though something is approaching from the darkness. A vertical cream band containing bold magenta Japanese text slices down the centre, separating the human figure from the haunted building. Across the middle, the jagged red and purple Japanese title 「地下室の悪夢」 sits above the English STEPHEN KING’S GRAVEYARD SHIFT logotype, all in distressed lettering that suggests decay and gnawed wood.
