Damien: Omen II (1978) – Ultra-Rare Japanese B0 Billboard Poster
Size: B0 (Approx. 99 × 157 cm)
Condition: Very Good / Excellent | Rolled | Original Theatrical Release Poster
Origin: Japan | Year: 1978

This is an original, rolled Japanese B0 theatrical billboard poster from the 1978 release of Damien: Omen II. Measuring approximately 99 × 157 cm, this oversized B0 format is among the rarest Japanese poster sizes, typically reserved for large-scale public display and rarely surviving beyond the original theatrical run.

Unlike the more common B2 posters distributed for indoor use, these billboard-size formats were exclusively used outdoors and usually discarded or destroyed after their short display life. The survival of this piece in rolled, unmounted condition makes it an exceptional and highly collectible artifact of late 1970s horror cinema.

Damien: Omen II, directed by Don Taylor, is the chilling sequel to the 1976 horror classic The Omen. The film follows the now-teenage Antichrist Damien Thorn, as he begins to understand and harness his terrifying powers amid a series of violent, mysterious deaths. With a cast featuring William Holden, Lee Grant, and Jonathan Scott-Taylor, and a haunting score by Jerry Goldsmith, the film deepened the mythology of the Omen franchise and cemented its place in horror history.

This rare B0 poster features powerful design work typical of Japanese theatrical releases from the era—blending bold composition with striking visual elements that often differed significantly from U.S. marketing materials.

We have only encountered this B0 Japanese Damien: Omen II poster once in our decades of collecting. Its scarcity, size, and iconic imagery make it a centerpiece for any serious collector of international horror or 1970s cinema ephemera.
