“Talk Radio” (トーク・レディオ), Original Japanese First-Release Movie Poster 1988, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) ZA976

Sale price $100.00

This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1988 for the first Japanese release of Talk Radio (トーク・レディオ), Oliver Stone’s blistering media-nightmare drama based on Eric Bogosian’s stage play. Starring Eric Bogosian as a provocative late-night shock-jock, the film is a ferocious snapshot of American talk-radio culture—paranoia, performance, and the slow violence of words—shot with Stone’s signature intensity.

Design
A bold, graphic Japan-market design built around a single brutal metaphor: a clenched fist grips a telephone receiver like a weapon, rendered in high-contrast reds and blacks with a ghostly face embedded in the colour field. The stark headline copy at the top—「言葉は人を殺せる」 (“Words can kill”)—sets the tone instantly, while the massive block title TALK RADIO dominates the lower half with raw, poster-perfect impact. Minimal, confrontational, and incredibly displayable—one of the strongest Japanese designs for an Oliver Stone film.
