“Terror of Mechagodzilla — Toho Champion Festival” (メカゴジラの逆襲), Original Japanese Movie Poster 1975 First Release, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) O205

Sale price $120.00

This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1975 for the Toho Champion Festival program headlined by Terror of Mechagodzilla (Japan, 1975), the second and final Showa-era Mechagodzilla entry directed by Ishirō Honda with special effects by Teruyoshi Nakano. The bill also promotes kid-favorites Sazae-san, Hajime Ningen Gyatoruzu, Alps no Shōjo Heidi, Agnes, and Shin Hakkenden—a classic festival lineup.

Film background
Alien conspirators resurrect Mechagodzilla and unleash the deep-sea dinosaur Titanosaurus, forcing Godzilla into a desperate two-on-one battle. Honda blends hard-charging suitmation with melancholic sci-fi, closing the original Showa cycle on a high.

Poster design
Explosive city carnage across the top banner as Mechagodzilla and Titanosaurus blast away at Godzilla amid UFOs and fireballs. A giant cracked red logotype 「メカゴジラの逆襲」 tears through the lower field, flanked by portrait cameos of the cast and vertical title columns for the co-features. The green Toho Champion Festival Godzilla seal and blue Toho roundel are classic hallmarks of an authentic 1975 theatrical festival sheet with huge wall presence.
