"The End of Evangelion – Original Picture Album / OST Promotion" (THE END OF EVANGELION), Original Japanese Store Promotional Poster 1998, B2 Size (51 × 73 cm) ZA278
This is an original Japanese B2 retail promotional poster issued by King Records for the soundtrack release tied to The End of Evangelion. Credited on the sheet are Music by Shiro Sagisu and “BGM-Entitled by Hideaki Anno,” with margin text noting design/CG artwork by Norihiko Tanaka (credit printed along the border). Produced for record shops rather than cinemas, these point-of-sale pieces were printed in smaller numbers and survive far less often than theatrical paper.
Design
A haunting, apocalyptic landscape rendered in red grain: human silhouettes dissolve with arms outstretched across the “Sea of LCL,” evoking the film’s cataclysmic imagery. The elegant serif title THE END OF EVANGELION sits at upper right on a wide black band, giving the composition gallery-print minimalism—pure late-’90s Eva atmosphere.
