"The Omen" (オーメン), Original Japanese B2 Movie Poster 1976, B2 Size (51 × 73cm) ZA668
This is an original Japanese B2 poster printed in 1976 for the release of The Omen, Richard Donner’s classic occult thriller starring Gregory Peck and Lee Remick, which introduced audiences to the chilling figure of young Damien.
Design
The artwork is simple yet unforgettable. Against a deep black background, the faces of Gregory Peck and Lee Remick float near the top centre, lit with stark, almost newspaper‑photo contrast that highlights their anxious expressions. Below them stands the silhouetted figure of a small boy in profile, hands in pockets, his form glowing with a halo of white light that trails away behind him like a comet’s tail, forming a jagged path through the darkness. At the bottom, the iconic THE OMEN logotype appears in red, with the “666” motif incorporated into a circular emblem to the left; the Japanese title 「オーメン」 sits directly beneath in bold white, balancing the English typography. The composition perfectly conveys the sense of inescapable doom that defines the film.
