This is an original Japanese VHS release poster printed in 1995 for the home video launch of The Puppet Masters (ブレイン・スナッチャー 恐怖の洗脳生物), the sci-fi thriller directed by Stuart Orme and based on Robert A. Heinlein’s novel. The film stars Donald Sutherland, Eric Thal, and Julie Warner, with a plot revolving around alien parasites that seize control of human minds.
Poster design
The composition features a silhouetted head glowing ominously red, with Donald Sutherland in profile to the side. The Japanese release title 「ブレイン・スナッチャー」 is printed boldly in red, with the subtitle 「恐怖の洗脳生物」 below. Along the bottom margin are stills from the film and the English title The Puppet Masters.
