“The Triple Cross” (いつかギラギラする日), Original Japanese Movie Poster 1992, Kinji Fukasaku / Kenichi Hagiwara, B2 Size (c. 51 × 73 cm) — T67

This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster for the 1992 first release of The Triple Cross, originally titled いつかギラギラする日 (Itsuka Giragira Suru Hi). Released by Shochiku on 12 September 1992, the film marked Kinji Fukasaku’s return to contemporary crime action, bringing together veteran criminals, reckless younger accomplices and an escalating series of betrayals.

Directed by Kinji Fukasaku, the film stars Kenichi Hagiwara, Kazuya Kimura and Keiko Oginome, with a supporting cast including Sonny Chiba, Renji Ishibashi, Yoshio Harada and Yumi Takigawa. The story follows a group of robbers targeting an armoured vehicle carrying an expected ¥200 million in hotel takings. When the haul proves to be only ¥50 million, the partnership disintegrates, setting off a violent pursuit through Hokkaido. Gun battles, destructive car chases and shifting loyalties give the film its relentless momentum.

The poster concentrates this energy into a dramatic photographic montage. A bleached-haired Kazuya Kimura fires a handgun across the composition, with Keiko Oginome in vivid red leaning above him. The brilliant muzzle flash cuts through a dark blue-green background, drawing the eye toward the oversized title.

Below, Kenichi Hagiwara’s wide-eyed face, with a dressing across his nose, appears behind a windscreen fractured by bullet impacts. The radiating cracks connect the lower portrait to the violence above, giving the design an immediate sense of danger.

Large gold Japanese title lettering fills the left side, balanced by an equally forceful red slogan with white edging along the right. White cast and production credits occupy the lower-right section, prominently naming producer Kazuyoshi Okuyama and director Kinji Fukasaku.

The striking vertical tagline reads:

「頭蓋骨まで熱くなる。」
“It’ll set your skull burning.”

Its bold colour contrasts, fractured glass and confrontational photography make this an expressive example of early-1990s Japanese action publicity. It is particularly appealing for collectors of Kinji Fukasaku, Kenichi Hagiwara, Sonny Chiba and Japanese crime cinema.

Condition: Excellent.

Some edge creasing and small surface abrasions are visible, particularly along the left margin, with handling wrinkles and gentle paper undulation visible on the reverse. The colours remain strong and the main imagery presents well.
