This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster dating from the early 1950s for Crash Dive, released locally as 潜航決戦隊 (Senkō Kessentai). This cinema-used example combines naval action with romantic star imagery, presented in rich colour beneath a commanding red title.

Directed by Archie Mayo, the 1943 film stars Tyrone Power, Anne Baxter, and Dana Andrews. Power plays a naval officer who falls for a schoolteacher, unaware of her relationship with his commanding officer. Their romantic rivalry becomes entangled with the demands of submarine warfare, forcing the two men to work together on a dangerous mission against German forces.

Printed on one B2 sheet, the design places a portrait of Dana Andrews in naval uniform above a submarine travelling across open water. Explosions and burning vessels fill the distant shoreline, while fast-moving patrol boats introduce further action below the title. The sea provides a continuous background, connecting the separate scenes.

The lower section features Tyrone Power and Anne Baxter in an affectionate embrace, balancing the military spectacle with the film’s romantic appeal. Their brightly coloured clothing and warm expressions contrast with the smoke and destruction above.

The oversized red lettering 「潜航決戦隊」, outlined in white, stretches across the centre. The English title “CRASH DIVE” appears above it on the left, opposite the 20th Century Fox logo. Beneath the Japanese title, the multicoloured lettering 「総天然色映画」, meaning “a full-colour motion picture,” promotes the film’s Technicolor presentation. Japanese cast and director credits occupy the lower-right section above the Fox Far East distribution credit.

The red promotional copy along the bottom reads:
