"Thunderball" (サンダーボール作戦), Original Japanese First-Release Movie Poster 1965, Rare, B3 Size (36 × 51 cm) O377
This is an original Japanese B3 poster printed in 1965 for Sean Connery’s fourth 007 outing Thunderball (Panavision / Technicolor). Issued for the first Japanese theatrical run, this scarce shop/poster features the headline “これが新兵器だ!”—spotlighting the film’s cutting-edge gadgets and underwater warfare.
Design
A striking monochrome tech-montage built around the bold “007” logotype and the Japanese title 「サンダーボール作戦」. Panels highlight the Aston Martin DB5, Connery’s jetpack escape, spear-gun divers, SPECTRE’s submersibles, and Q-Branch diagrams—pure mid-’60s Bond futurism with a reportage feel.
Condition
Very Good: original horizontal/vertical folds as issued, light handling and small edge nicks, faint age toning; image remains crisp and the poster displays excellently. Please review the photos—they show the exact poster for sale.
