This is an original Japanese B2 promotional poster produced for Columbia Records Japan (コロムビアレコード) in collaboration with Tsuburaya Productions (© 円谷プロ). It was made for music/record promotion—the kind of striking in-store display sheet used to advertise Ultraman-related audio releases (theme songs, compilations, and children’s records), rather than a theatrical film campaign.
Design
A bold “heroes assemble” composition: the original Ultraman dominates the upper field in the classic Spacium Beam pose, set against a retro-futurist cityscape, while a lineup of multiple Showa-era Ultra heroes stands across the foreground like a roll-call. The dramatic gradient title 「ウルトラマン」 anchors the bottom with strong 1980s graphic energy, and the small Columbia Records mark at top left confirms its music-promo purpose.
