This is an original Japanese poster printed in 1976 for the first release of Obsession (「愛のメモリー」), Brian De Palma’s neo-noir psychological thriller starring Cliff Robertson, Geneviève Bujold, and John Lithgow. Written by Paul Schrader from a story by De Palma and Schrader, with a haunting final score by Bernard Herrmann (completed shortly before his death in 1975). The story follows a New Orleans businessman tormented by the deaths of his wife and daughter in a botched ransom rescue—years later he meets a young woman in Florence who looks uncannily like his late wife, drawing him into a spiraling mystery of grief, love, and deception.
