This is an original Japanese B2 theatrical poster printed in 1995 for the first release of Whisper of the Heart, produced by Studio Ghibli and directed by Yoshifumi Kondō from a screenplay by Hayao Miyazaki.

Film background
Whisper of the Heart is a coming‑of‑age romance that follows Shizuku, a book‑loving junior‑high student in Tokyo, whose chance encounters with the mysterious name “Seiji Amasawa” set her on a journey of creativity and self‑discovery. Blending everyday urban life with gentle fantasy, the film is beloved for its nuanced portrayal of first love, anxiety about the future and the struggle to find one’s own voice. It has since become one of Ghibli’s most cherished titles, especially in Japan.

The B2 artwork reflects the film’s light, hopeful tone.
