“Wolves of the City: Take Your Chance” (不良番長 出たとこ勝負), Original Release Japanese Speed Poster 1970, Speed Poster Size (c. 26 × 73 cm) ZA788
This is an original Japanese speed-poster printed in 1970 for the theatrical release of Wolves of the City: Take Your Chance (不良番長 出たとこ勝負), an entry in Toei’s legendary Furyō Banchō (不良番長) delinquent/yakuza-biker series.
This film is widely recognised as the 8th episode in the Furyō Banchō cycle, starring series icon Tatsuo Umemiya (梅宮辰夫), with prominent support from Reiko Oshida (押田梨香子)—a quintessential slice of early-1970s Toei youth-gang cinema mixing biker action, outlaw comedy, and street-faction swagger.
Poster design
A full-throttle, pop-exploitation Japanese layout: a bright, high-impact yellow field crowded with motorcycle formations and gang action, anchored by bold character photo-collage—Umemiya front and centre in leather cap and goggles, surrounded by armed rivals, pin-up glamour, and kinetic chase imagery.
It is over 55 years old!
