“Yakuza: Dead Souls / Of the End” (龍が如く OF THE END), Original Japanese Video Game Promotional Poster 2011, Hand-Signed by Toshihiro Nagoshi, SEGA / PlayStation 3, B2 Format (c. 51 × 73 cm) — Very Rare — T154

Sale price $950.00

This is a very rare original Japanese B2 promotional poster for Ryū ga Gotoku: Of the End, subsequently released internationally as Yakuza: Dead Souls. Produced for the game’s original 2011 PlayStation 3 campaign, this particular example is personally hand-signed in silver marker by Toshihiro Nagoshi (名越稔洋), the creator of the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series and the game’s credited general director.

Nagoshi’s signature is a particularly significant collecting feature. As the central creative figure behind the series’ origins and development, his autograph gives this poster a direct personal connection to its creator. Combined with the original campaign artwork and handwritten shop dedication, it makes this an exceptional piece for a serious Yakuza / Like a Dragon collection.

The poster advertises the originally scheduled Japanese release date of 17 March 2011. The launch was subsequently postponed, and the game was released in Japan on 9 June 2011. The printed March date preserves the campaign artwork prepared before that postponement.

Set in Kamurocho, the series’ fictional Tokyo entertainment district, the story imagines the city overrun by zombies and sealed behind military barricades. Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Majima, Ryuji Goda, and Shun Akiyama confront the crisis, with gun battles giving this entry a distinctive character within the series.

Printed on one B2 sheet, the design places large character portraits around a commanding central title. Kiryu and Majima occupy the upper corners, while Goda and Akiyama appear below. Smaller scenes of illuminated streets, armed characters, and encounters within Kamurocho create a cinematic montage around them.

The oversized 龍が如く OF THE END logo combines pale Japanese lettering with distressed English typography and a vivid red brushstroke. Across the top, the Japanese slogan reads:

「伝説の男達 最後のケジメ」
“The legendary men’s final reckoning.”

Alongside Nagoshi’s handwritten signature, the silver-marker dedication reads:

「ぶらくり丁店様」
“To the Burakurichō store.”

The handwritten series title also appears:

「龍が如く」
“Like a Dragon.”

The accompanying message reads:

「よろしくお願いします!」
“Thank you in advance for your support!”

The dedication preserves an individual connection to a Japanese retail setting, adding character and context to this rare creator-signed promotional example.

PlayStation 3 branding appears at the top, while the lower section includes cast and music credits, SEGA branding, the advertised release date, and a reservation-bonus CD announcement. Nagoshi’s printed general-director credit also appears on the poster, providing a compelling connection between the campaign design and his personal autograph.

Condition: Excellent. The printed artwork retains strong colour and clear detail, with Nagoshi’s silver-marker autograph, dedication, and handwritten message prominently visible. Once framed, the poster will display superbly.

Please review all photographs, including the reverse and close-ups of the signature and dedication, as they show the exact poster for sale.
